We understand this is an ever-changing school year.  We are in this together!  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us via the survey link

We will post all questions along with their answers to ensure everyone gets the same message in a timely manner.
Q.1 - Will there be Zoom meetings between the students and the teachers?
Yes, there will be frequent Zoom meetings, a minimum of four (4) each week.

Q. 2 - Once schools open, will our child be able to have an introduction to the teacher before attending class? Possibly, it will depend of the NM State health orders at that time.

Q. 3- Will there be any help for parents who work full time?  The best help we can offer are step-by-step instructions that show the students how to manage the software.  We will post those here on the school page under the Parent Tab under "Helpful Links".  We can also email these instruction to your email upon request.  We plan to make this experience as personable as possible and plan to video Zoom with the students frequently.  We will post Zoom instructions as well.

Q.4- How do we log into assignments?  Will it be it be through class dojo or through a different site?  All assignments will be through a site called Edgenuity/Pathblazer.  Please see the "Parent Tab" under "Helpful Links" to see step by step instructions on how to log in.  The link for this software is on the Hobbs schools website at hobbsschools.net.

Q.5- Will there be tutoring if needed?  Absolutely!  The teachers are monitoring student work closely.  If they see a student, or students,  struggling on certain tasks, they will schedule a Zoom meeting for intervention and reteach.  After reteach, students will get the opportunity to redo the failed assignment.

Q.6- Just trying to figure out how to schedule home schooling and 50+ hours of work. We completely understand and we are here to support you as best we can.  We plan to teach the students how to manage their virtual learning as best we can with video chats and step by step instructions.  We may need a little assistance from parents for the younger students in the first couple of weeks, but it is our hope to help them get to a point of self management with minimum help from the parent.  Teachers need support from parents in sending the message that this is important, try our best, log in and do the work, and ask your teacher for help in the video chat if you do not know how to do something

Want to know more about online learning? Please see the "Helpful Links" under the parent tab to learn more.  There are step by step instructions to help you get started!
